Pushing Daisies is an ABC show that is nothing less that comedic and entertaining. It is about Ned (Lee Pace) who has a talent of being able to bring dead things back to life.  He is able to bring dead fruit back to life and make it ripe again and soon realises that he can use this talent to bring dead people to life again.

There are some rules however, and these include Ned quickly learns that if something is revived for more than exactly one minute something of equal “life value” in the vicinity drops dead, in a form of balance. Additionally, if he touches the revived thing a second time, it goes back to being dead again, permanently.

In his normal work life Ned works as a pie maker. His simple life however becomes more complicated becomes complicated when a private investigator named Emerson cod (Chi McBride) finds out about his secret and convinces him to help him solve murder cases and suggests they shard the reward money.

So Ned begins to touch the dead and raises them to get the name of their killers and then touches them again and they pass away but this time for good. Later Ned is handed a case that changes his life forever, he has to work on the case of his childhood sweetheart Charlotte “Chuck” Charles (Anna Friel) who was murdered on a cruise ship. Her death takes him back to his hometown and after being reunited with Chuck, Ned cant bring himself back to letting her go again. He helps her to escape after her family think she’s been buried for good.

Chuck becomes the third participant in the private investigations of the crew and helps them use their skills for good instead of simply for profit. Ned is ecstatic about having the only girl he’s ever loved back in his life; with one problem if he touches her again she will go back to being dead, for good.
